Description
I am selling my Surly Long Haul Trucker touring bicycle, which I built from new parts in 2011. The bike rides well, is very comfortable on long rides and handles well when loaded.

As the picture shows, the steerer tube of the fork is uncut, which means there's a lot of room to adjust the handlebar height to preference. If you want to cut it down, that would be a 15 minute job, either for you or your local bike shop.
The frame is designed to be set up with drop handlebars, but I chose to install butterfly bars for a more upright riding position.

Reason for selling
I'm selling because of lack of use and lack of space to store all my other bikes. I built this bike as I was planning on doing a lot of touring, but that never really happened - in all, it's only been ridden about 500 km.

Condition
The bike is in very good condition and works well. No parts are worn out or need replacing. The frame and paint are in very good condition. It has never been in an accident, or even fallen over. It has been stored indoors for its entire life, and I treated the inside of the frame with linseed oil to prevent rust.

Hi Rolle, sorry for the late reply - for some reason I didn't get an email saying you'd replied to this thread.

 

The frame size is 60 cm, which I think is designed for riders around 180-190 cm. I'm 194 and went for this size as I wanted something with quite relaxed geometry, but I guess most people of my height would pick a larger frame, i.e. 62 cm.
