Question: Carriers made out of steel - don´t they rust?

Answer: Not one carrier was ever send rusted through back to us.

Tubus carriers are made out of steel, because the fatigue is much higher than the fatigue of aluminium. Most of our other carriers are made out of 25CrM4 steel. It is a very strong material, but it can rust without a protection such as a surface coating. This will not chip off after it has a little damage. However, the rust will not penetrate deeply into the material of the carrier.
